High-flying business set to take on more staff
An Ashford business that has had an outstanding first year and already employs more than 60 local people is planning to recruit more staff as it approaches its first birthday celebrations.
Flipout Ashford has seen more than 200,000 people visit its unique trampolining centre on the St James Business Park at Henwood, far exceeding manager Matt Moon’s expectations.
“We knew we had a great leisure offer here at Flipout Ashford, but the response from jumpers of all ages has been amazing,” he commented.
“We are planning some great events and offers to tie in with our first birthday celebrations from Friday 6 to Sunday 8 July, and we will also be looking for more people to join our team, which is good news for job hunters.”
While people of all ages – from toddlers to pensioners - can enjoy the fun on offer, the workforce tends to be younger, and so Matt is planning a recruitment event that will take place after the exam season has ended.
Flipout Ashford has a soft play area for under-twos as well as equipment that offers a range of high-octane fun for everyone from toddlers to teenagers, adults and beyond. A ‘slam dunk’ area, dodgeball arena and ‘ninja’ challenge add to the attractions.
“July’s birthday celebrations will feature a range of events and activities that we hope the people of Ashford will enjoy as our ‘thank you’ for making the year such a great success,”
“As well as building a great following over our first year, we have upgraded the car park and we are particularly delighted that we are about to provide even more jobs for local people.”
The first birthday celebrations are expected to include a DJ event on the Friday evening, lots of special offers throughout the weekend and birthday cake for all on the Sunday. Details will be posted on the Flipout Ashford website.
“We are keen to share our first birthday with the people who have made it such a great year for us, and so all the celebrations will be designed around them,” Matt added.
