The Government’s decision to fund the long-awaited Junction 10a on the M20 will “‘take the brakes off” economic and commercial development in Ashford.
This nationally significant motorway infrastructure scheme has secured funding from central government and the South East Local Enterprise Partnership (SELEP), with the Highways Agency now delivering this scheme alongside construction firm, Vinci.
With Ashford already boasting two motorway junctions onto the M20, access to Kent’s busiest and most vital motorway will be greatly improved through the creation of this new Junction 10a.
The proposed development will include a new dual carriageway link road to the existing A2070 Southern Orbital Road and will also connect to the A20 Hythe Road.
With these road improvements in place, Ashford will be better connected than ever – not only to the rest of Kent, but to neighbouring counties and in turn – the rest of the UK and Europe.
