Kutchenhaus Ashford

Leading German kitchen manufacturer, Kutchenhaus, opened its latest Kent showroom on Station Road, Ashford in September 2020. The company gives its clients the unique opportunity to design their dream kitchen, advising them on everything from design elements and versatile accessories to architectural solutions and the latest kitchen technology.

The opening of Kutchenhaus Ashford represents wider expansion in the UK with the company set to open new stores in Balham, Petersfield and Stamford. Kutchenhaus is owned by Nobilia, the world’s largest kitchen manufacturer, which has built its reputation on the production of exceptional quality German kitchens.

Jake Ford, Owner of Kutchenhaus Ashford, explains why the company chose Ashford for their latest store: “After careful consideration, the decision to open a Kutchenhaus showroom in Ashford was based on several factors. As a fast growing and ever-expanding town, Ashford offers numerous opportunities for us to work closely with new residents moving to the area, current homeowners and developers alike.

“I believe Ashford is able to provide new and existing businesses with a wide range of clientele looking for their products and services. It is also apparent that new businesses have also seized the opportunity to establish themselves in the borough, including Curious Brewery and Macknade. Kent developers, such as Quinn Estates and GSE Group, have also invested in developments within the town.

“At Kutchenhaus Ashford, we provide our clients with bespoke, high-end, German engineered products, which are in line with the latest trends and designs. We also pride ourselves on adapting to a range of budgets and ensuring an unrivalled service and customer care from start to finish.”

It hasn’t been an entirely easy ride, as the opening was delayed by the coronavirus pandemic, but Jake explains that as a company they’ve made things work and he’s excited for the future: “Covid-19 has undoubtedly been a topic of many conversations this year, and it’s obviously affected us too. We had planned to open Kutchenhaus Ashford in May, but decided it would be more prudent to postpone until there was a clearer picture of the economic climate.

“As a wider brand though, Kutchenhaus was able to continue selling kitchens throughout lockdown by adapting its practice whilst adhering to Government guidelines. These included virtual meetings and the use of our online planning portal, the latter offering customers the opportunity to design their kitchens in the comfort of their own homes. Being able to adapt and use these practices have proved invaluable to us as a business.

Jake concludes: “Whilst we haven’t directly worked with Ashford Borough Council yet, they have been hugely supportive of our new venture, which has been great. Now that we’ve launched the new store, we’re really excited to see what the future holds for us in Ashford.”
