Stafford Perkins
Richard Stafford is an ‘Ashford champion’ – who has lived and worked in the area for the past 30 years.
One of the most highly respected experts in Kent’s commercial property sector, Richard launched his own business in Ashford in 2016, investing in establishing his modern commercial property consultancy from a historic 100 year old building at 11 Park Street.
“There was never a doubt that I would choose Ashford as the home of my business,” he remembers.
“It’s a dynamic business location that is ideally suited to my own aspirations to expand my services to clients both old and new.”

Richard Stafford, said: “Fast connections to London and Europe are the borough’s USP, and there’s no doubt that the new rail signalling project is fundamental to our future.
“But we are so much more than a rail station – whilst Ebbsfleet has been compared to a car park, there’s everything around our station – a cinema, offices, supermarket, new brewery, new college and the town centre shopping, plus you can park your car.
“Ashford is really changing – it is fast-growing and with schemes like Ashford’s Commercial Quarter it is a really exciting time.
“We have in-depth knowledge of all commercial property in this area formed over three decades so are in a strong position to be able to best advise clients down to the tiniest detail.
“We are seeing more independent businesses investing in the town now and I would like to see more development of the town centre to encourage others to locate here. It is a very exciting time.”
Ashford’s growth and prosperity means that Richard has decided the business environment is right for Stafford Perkins to grow too, with a graduate surveyor being recruited.
